Writers must select one Topic and one Article Format when submitting an article.

Eligibility

Writers must be legally permitted to submit and publish their content. If a contributor is under the age of 18, additional consent from a parent or legal guardian may be required before publication.

By submitting an article, the writer confirms that they have the right to submit the content and agree to the applicable Writer Guidelines and Terms of Use.

1. Select a Topic

Choose the topic that best represents the primary subject of your article.

2. Select an Article Format

Technical Article

Use this format when explaining a technical concept, architecture, technology, design pattern, engineering problem, or technical solution.

Examples:

  • How Kubernetes networking works
  • Understanding Google Cloud IAM
  • Cloud Run architecture patterns
  • Terraform module design best practices
  • Comparing REST and GraphQL

A Technical Article does not necessarily require readers to follow step-by-step instructions.

Tutorial / How-To

Use this format when teaching readers how to perform a specific technical task.

The article should normally include:

  • Objective
  • Prerequisites
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Commands or code where appropriate
  • Verification or expected results
  • Troubleshooting information when applicable

Examples:

  • How to deploy a Go application to Cloud Run
  • How to create a GKE cluster using Terraform
  • How to configure GitHub Actions for GCP
  • How to build a REST API using Python
Instructions should be tested or reasonably verified before submission.

POC / Hands-On Lab

Use this format for a working Proof of Concept, experiment, prototype, or hands-on implementation demonstrating that a technology, architecture, integration, or idea works.

A POC article should normally contain:

  • Problem or objective
  • Architecture or solution overview
  • Technologies used
  • Prerequisites
  • Implementation steps
  • Configuration or code
  • Testing procedure
  • Actual or expected results
  • Known limitations
  • Cleanup instructions when cloud resources are created

Examples:

  • Build an AI agent using Gemini and Cloud Run
  • Connect Cloud Run to an on-premises database
  • Deploy PostgreSQL on Kubernetes using Helm
  • Create a multi-region serverless architecture
  • Build a Terraform POC for Private Service Connect
POC Requirement: A POC / Hands-On Lab should represent a working implementation. The author should verify the implementation before submitting the article.

3. Writer Acknowledgement
